Spinosaurus

Spinosaurus ('spiny lizard') was a very large carnivore with spines along its back. It lived during the late Cretaceous period (about 98 to 95 million years ago) in what is now Africa. Spinosaurus was about 12-15 metres long, weighed at least 4 tons, and walked on two legs. Its large head had very powerful jaws with sharp straight teeth. Its arms were smaller than its legs, but it may have walked on all fours at times.
