Polacanthus
Mary Evans Picture Library/Deagostini Editore

Polacanthus ('many spines') was an armoured, spiked, plant-eating dinosaur from the early Cretaceous period (about 132 to 100 million years ago). It was about 4 metres long and 1.5 metres tall. It was a bulky quadruped that relied on its many rows of bony spikes for protection.
