The Lowry Collection
The Lowry houses the largest public collection of works by L.S. Lowry in the world. Comprising around 400 items, it includes oil paintings, drawings, pastels and watercolours. The collection represents the wide range of subject matter depicted by the artist, from classic industrial scenes to seascapes, landscapes and portraits, among which are Lowry’s self portrait as well as the oil paintings of his mother and father which he kept on display in his home throughout his life.
