Painted especially for my own book, 'Only Visiting This Planet'. Along with several sketches, this painting was intended to be the starting point for a fantasy story inspired by the peacocks of the famous 'Trout' pub in Wolvercote, Oxford (often featured in Colin Dexter's Inspector Morse novels). Unfortunately, not all ideas can be taken as far as I would like.
